In 2025, the BLTA responded to a growing need for a public air compressor after Harvey Cedars Auto, the nearest inflation station, closed. Both drivers and cyclists were left without a convenient way to inflate tires. Working with Ed Wellington and Stu McGowan, the BLTA researched and installed a state-of-the-art compressor designed for both cars and bicycles. The device is simple to use—just select the desired pressure, and the compressor automatically shuts off with a beep when it reaches the correct level. Capable of delivering up to 110 psi, it meets the needs of high-pressure road bikes as well as cars, improving safety and convenience for all. |
